Secondary School Places Allocation System

General Information on Secondary School Places Allocation (SSPA) System (2023/2025)
Secondary School Places Allocation is designed for eligible Primary 6 students attending participating primary schools. It allocates subsidized Form 1 places and consists of two phases: "Discretionary Places Admission" and "Central Allocation." During the Discretionary Places Admission, which typically occurs in January, Primary 6 students can apply directly to secondary schools. In the Central Allocation phase, Primary 6 students will submit their school choices to the Education Bureau through their primary schools in early May to receive their allocated secondary school places.
