With the advancement of mobile technology, mobile, cloud and virtual technologies have become increasingly convenient, and the performance of mobile computing devices continues to improve. The use of information technology in learning has become an important teaching and learning strategy. Our school adopts a blended mode of online and offline teaching and learning to enrich students’ learning experiences.
Before class, students use multimedia audio-visual materials, educational software packages, and online e-learning resources to prepare and preview lessons on their own. This helps cultivate the habit of pre-lesson preparation and strengthens students’ ability in self-directed learning.
During class, teachers flexibly apply information technology in teaching to enhance interaction between teachers and students as well as among students. At the same time, students conduct real-time assessments through online platforms. The system provides instant marking, enabling students to immediately understand their learning performance. Teachers offer timely feedback to help students improve their learning.
After class, students can use online platforms and resources to consolidate what they have learned. They can also review or re-watch teaching videos according to their own learning pace, or read and search for more topic-related information on the internet based on their personal interests and needs for extended learning. This caters for learner diversity, provides students with different learning experiences, and helps them develop the ability for lifelong learning.
