Physical Education is “education through physical activity”. It helps students enhance the skills required for different physical activities, understand the relevant knowledge about activities and safety, and develop an active and healthy lifestyle. Physical Education emphasises the establishment of positive values and attitudes, enhances self-confidence, and develops generic skills such as collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and aesthetic appreciation. It assists students in developing lifelong learning abilities and becoming responsible citizens who contribute to an active and healthy community.
The development of Physical Education in our school is mainly divided into four areas, including:
| 1.Physical Education Curriculum (Popularising physical education knowledge and sports skills among students) |
|
| 2.Physical Education Assessment (Comprehensive Feedback: Comprehensive assessment of students’ Physical Education performance and provision of feedback) |
|
| 3. School Team Training (Elite Training: Providing higher-level sports training for students with sports potential) |
(Sports include: Martial Arts, Athletics, Fancy Rope Skipping, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball, Swimming, Football, Volleyball, Rock Climbing) |
| 4. Physical Education Activities (Universal Participation: Enabling our students to participate in intra-school physical activities and increasing the number of students taking part in competitions) |

School Swimming Gala (Whole School) Swimming is a very popular sport in our school, with a large number of students learning to swim. Our school is committed to promoting swimming. The first Swimming Gala was held in the 2012–2013 school year. Our school is one of the few schools in Hong Kong that has organised a Swimming Gala. We hope to identify students with potential through the Swimming Gala for participation in the Lantau District Inter-school Swimming Competition. |

School Sports Day (P.3–P.6) The purpose of the School Sports Day is to enable students to apply the athletics skills learned in class during competitions. The event emphasises “participation by all”, encouraging students to take part as athletes, cheerleaders and helpers in different roles. In addition, our school organises sports demonstrations every year, including hurdling, long jump and duathlon, with the aim of broadening students’ horizons. |
|
Primary 1 & 2 Parent-Child Games Day and Emerging Sports Experience Day Every year, our school organises a “Parent-Child Games Day” for Primary 1 and Primary 2 students, allowing parents and children to participate in competitive activities together. In recent years, traditional Chinese cultural elements and electronic sensory activities have been incorporated, including pot tossing (modern darts), chui wan (modern golf), cuju (modern football), VR archery, and more. By combining different themes and technology, teachers, students and parents can experience the joy of sports in a unique way. |

Electronic Sensory Activities and AI Campus Sports Development Our Physical Education curriculum continues to evolve with the aim of integrating sports with technology. In recent years, we have developed electronic sensory activities and introduced AI for sports testing and training. Our school offers electronic cycling and electronic dodgeball for students to participate in. We have also developed AI sports competition booths covering various physical activities such as rope skipping and standing long jump. These facilities meet the needs of training, physical testing and competition, and can be used simultaneously by multiple people. |
