Some of our Primary 5 students participated in the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area City Exploration Tour – Zhuhai Aerospace Exploration Tour” organised by the Education Bureau. Students visited the Zhuhai Space Centre, where they engaged in lively and interesting science popularisation courses and hands-on activities, such as building model aeroplanes and operating drones. Through these experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of the latest achievements in our country’s aerospace and aviation technology. Students not only acquired advanced aerospace science knowledge, but also realised the significant impact of technology on society, which sparked their enthusiasm for STEAM education and innovative thinking. This journey inspired students’ dreams, cultivated their patriotic sentiments and sense of social responsibility, and became an unforgettable learning experience.
In addition, some Primary 6 students participated in the “Nanjing Historical and Cultural Exploration Tour”, where they gained an in-depth experience of the history and culture of this ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. The itinerary included visits to Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum, the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace of Nanjing, the Qinhuai River, and the Laomendong Historical District. These visits allowed students to personally experience China’s modern revolutionary history and the architectural art of Ming Dynasty imperial mausoleums, while learning about the importance of cultural heritage conservation and the inheritance of national culture. Through on-site exploration, students gained an understanding of Nanjing’s rich historical heritage and cultural depth, strengthened their national pride and cultural identity, and developed a sense of concern and responsibility for the protection of history and culture.
Our school’s Mainland exchange programmes are rich and diverse, covering areas such as history and culture, technological exploration, and nature conservation. These programmes enable students to learn not only from books, but also to broaden their horizons through real-life experiences, deepen their understanding of and affection for our motherland, and support their holistic development and future growth.
