Music

Through diversified teaching, coupled with various music activities and information technology, we enable students to learn music in a joyful environment and achieve the following five learning aims:

1. Develop creativity and the ability to appreciate music;

2. Develop music skills and construct musical knowledge;

3. Cultivate aesthetic sensitivity and understanding of cultures;

4. Nurture students’ affection, cultivation, moral character, and a sense of commitment to the nation, ethnicity and the world;

5.Through participation in music activities, students gain enjoyment and satisfaction, and develop a lifelong interest in music.

In addition, students gain multi-faceted understanding and application of music through participation in cross-curricular activities or activities beyond the classroom, making music learning more interesting for them. The wide range of activities includes: music creation activities, LBC Busking, rehearsals for the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, annual concerts, singing competitions, AI song creation in collaboration with the Computer Studies subject, praise dance activities in collaboration with the Biblical Studies subject, Art Week in collaboration with the Visual Arts subject, Christmas carolling, and more. Through these different musical experiences, students enrich their own musical journey.
