Martial Arts

Martial arts is a traditional Chinese culture that uses bare-hand techniques, weapons and offensive-defensive movements as the main forms of training. It serves the functions of strengthening the body, providing entertainment and aesthetic appreciation, and cultivating moral character. It is a modern sport that emphasises the cultivation of both internal and external qualities.

Our school’s Martial Arts School Team was established in 2008. We hope that through martial arts training, students can strengthen their physical fitness, learn basic self-defence skills, and develop attitudes of getting along with others and self-discipline. The training content of the Martial Arts School Team is mainly based on fundamental martial arts skills, including the study of fist forms and weapon routines such as Changquan (Long Fist), Nanquan (Southern Fist), swordsmanship, broadsword, staff, and spear techniques. Team members demonstrate a serious attitude and strict discipline during training, which has earned them high praise from the coach.

Every year, the Martial Arts School Team participates in various competitions, such as the Hong Kong Novice Martial Arts Competition and the Dynamic Martial Arts Invitation Competition. These events allow students to showcase their talents and build confidence. The students have lived up to the expectations of their coach and teachers, achieving remarkable results and winning numerous awards in past major competitions.
