Martial arts represent a traditional aspect of Chinese culture, focusing on unarmed combat, weaponry, and defensive techniques. It promotes physical fitness, entertainment, and personal development, emphasizing a balanced approach to both physical and mental training.
Our school's martial arts team was established in 2008 with the aim of helping students strengthen their bodies, acquire basic self-defense skills, and learn values such as discipline and cooperation. The training primarily emphasizes fundamental martial arts techniques, including forms and routines in Changquan, Nanquan, Swordsmanship, Knife techniques, Stick-fighting techniques, and Spear techniques. Team members demonstrate a serious attitude and strict discipline during training, earning high praise from their coaches.
Each year, the martial arts team participates in various competitions, such as the Hong Kong Newcomers Martial Arts Competition and outreach coaching program competitions, providing students with opportunities to showcase their skills and build confidence. The students have consistently met the expectations of their coaches and teachers, achieving numerous accolades in previous competitions.
