Percussion

Percussion music involves playing musical pieces using various types of percussion instruments. Commonly used percussion instruments include the xylophone, glockenspiel, timpani, tubular bells, snare drum, cymbals, triangle, and maracas.

Our school’s Percussion Ensemble, formerly known as the “Rhythm Band”, was established in 2002. Over the years, it has won numerous awards in external music competitions. The Rhythm Band is open to students from Primary 2 to Primary 6. Using different percussion instruments combined with simple yet powerful rhythms, students enjoy the pleasure of music. Through mutual coordination, they learn the importance of team spirit.
