Fancy Rope Skipping requires athletes to perform various levels of fancy movements in rhythm with the music while jumping rope. It emphasises teamwork and coordination among team members. Our school hopes that through this activity, students can cultivate the spirit of mutual cooperation and trust, enhance their communication skills and problem-solving abilities, and even unleash their creativity by designing their own movements.
Our school’s Fancy Rope Skipping Team was established in 2007. In addition to training students in basic rope skipping techniques, the team focuses on improving students’ speed and endurance, enabling them to perform different levels of fancy movements in coordination with lively music. After receiving systematic training, participating team members have expressed that they greatly enjoy this healthy and exciting sport.
In the current school year, our Fancy Rope Skipping School Team participated in the 2025 Hong Kong Inter-district Primary Schools Rope Skipping Competition. Our students performed outstandingly and won a total of 53 individual fancy awards and 6 group long rope awards. The team also achieved 2nd place in the overall Boys’ Group and 1st place in the overall Girls’ Group in the Lantau District. In particular, student 4B Lui Sze Yin won the championship in the Cross Open event with a record-breaking performance. We extend our warmest congratulations to all the award-winning students and express our sincere gratitude to the parents who accompanied the team. We hope that the team members will continue to work hard next year and achieve even better results.
