Since its establishment in 2009, our school’s English Drama Team has been committed to enhancing the English learning environment and increasing the interest of Primary 3 to Primary 6 students in learning English. During the training process, students enhance their self-confidence, English listening, speaking and reading abilities, as well as drama performance skills. Their overall coordination and cooperation abilities are also greatly strengthened. After training, students are able to perform and participate in competitions using professional drama techniques.

The training repertoire is based on themes related to students’ school life, family life, social issues and life education. Examples include A Bug’s Life, Exodus, New Animal Farm, Food Revenge, The Rainbow, and last year the team took on the challenge of performing the English musical The Journey of the Noble Gnarble.

The team has previously won awards at drama festivals, including Best Actor, Best Actress and Outstanding Stage Effects. Students perform annually at the school’s Grand Performance and have received high acclaim every year.
